More on Henry
Henry Hansen started farming land near Silver Falls in the 1930's.
His land has grown oats,  wheat, strawberries, grass seed,
Christmas trees, and finally settled into timber.

Henry's tree farm is currently operated as a small family farm by
his granddaughter Karla and her husband Rick.

A majority of the land is in Douglas fir timber plantation, with
additional dedicated stands of large second-growth and
mixed-species forest. The farm's elevation is between 1100 and
1500 feet, with an average rainfall of around 80 inches per year.
Douglas fir grows extremely well in this area, producing
high-quality peeler and sawlogs.
